Sears-Kay Ruins

This was a cool little hike near Cave Creek. It  has the remains of the Verde Hohokam's dwellings. From the parking lot, it's only a one mile loop through the ruins and petroglyphs. Caleb fulfilled Bear Cub Scout outdoor cooking requirement by making us a delicious lunch of grilled pigs-in-a-blanket and baked beans.

Cake & Crustateans

"Get a picture, cause I'm not doing this again."
I took Caleb out for date night, so Dad promised Eli that they could bake a cake together.
They decided on carrot cake.
Caleb had been wanting to try lobster for  while, so we used a gift card to Outback from Christmas. We both loved the lobster and our waiter suggested we bring the carcass home in a doggie bag. His brothers were pretty impressed, until we threw it away due to smell.

Vegas Baby!

Our good friends, that we met in Japan, were visiting the states for a few weeks and decided to make a stop in Vegas to meet up with friends before travelling back to Okinawa. We had a good time catching up.

One day we did a few small hikes through Red Rock Canyon area and then saw a crazy wreck on the highway on our way out. Ryan was the first one on the scene.
We spotted some big horned sheep just off the road. This one was albino!

We of course had to make time for a vegas buffet. The boys were in heaven, including Ryan. I basically had a huge salad, a few little entree items, and 3 desserts.

We hit the waterworks show at the Bellagio.

Outside

Here's Cus on his bike for the first time. And, Ryan showing Caleb how to change a bike tube.

And, here's Nolan and his hair making his, "What's a pig say?" face.
