Preschool

Some friends and I started a little preschool group that meets once a week. We started out with only 3 little boys, but that has grown to 6! We have a good, but crazy time!

Thanks to Uncle Ralph and Aunt Denise, we had a great President's Day weekend in Showlow. We all relaxed at the cabin, Ryan did some fly fishing at Silver Creek, we played in the jacuzzi under the stars and went sledding.

Bronco Trail Hike

Ryan and I got a babysitter on President's Day. We drove out east on the Carefree Hwy to go on a hike and ended up hiking in about one hour on the Bronco Trail. Then, we decided it was more important to get some grub before we were due back home, so we hiked back to the truck and stopped at El Encanto for lunch. Awesome Mexican place. Even has a duck pond!

Our neighbors, Angel & Celina Puentes, took us out to dinner the other night. They knew we had spent some time in Japan, so they treated us to Benihana's. Here's our chef making a volcano out of onions.

Crazy Nolan

Nolan is at the crazy age. He's just about 18 months old and is into everything! The trash can, the dishwasher, trying to climb the oven, the toilet, the boys' bunkbeds, etc... Insane!!! His newest trick is to get the stepstool out of the boys' bathroom and set it in front of the fridge so he can push the drinking water button and soak the floor.
Here's where I found him the other day. This little bookshelf has long since had any books or magazines on it, because of his little fingers... but now he gets his toy and climbs up on it! He's a crafty one!

So, Marcus had to do his coloring up on the island to get some relief from
little brother's grabbing hands.

Cus making Valentine's Day cards for his preschool buddies

He's been working hard on writing his own letters! His favorite is "M" of course.

Cus Turns 4!

First, he scored a sweet Vader mask from G & G Martinsen, plus pizza for dinner.

The next day, G&G Johnson came over with presents too. We had a baseball cake, as requested, and ice cream.

Then, on his real birthday, he got to have some buddies over to decorate cupcakes and play.

Johnson Family Portraits

Every few years, Grandma Johnson schedules a picture session at the temple. Here are some of the Spring 2012 Shoot.

Accepted

Ryan took Nolan and Caleb to the park so I could get some stock shots of these two boys. I titled this one, "Opposites" and it just got accepted on my stock photography website! Now we'll see if these boys can make me some moola! The other 3 are also some recent uploads, not sure if they'll be accepted, but I think they're cute anyway.

Cub Scouts

Ryan and I are currently cub scout leaders in our ward. We take care of both the Wolf and Bear Dens. Here are Caleb and one of our wolves learning how to conduct a flag raising ceremony. Ryan made it even more official by playing the National Anthem from his phone during the raising. I figure we'll have this calling until Nolan is 11 years old. Then, Ryan will move up to being a Boy Scout leader. Such is the life with 4 boys!

Eli had a fun filled 7th birthday. Ryan took him skiing at Snowbowl on his actual bday. He even got to miss school! If you're Eli, that's not really the exciting part though. This kid loves school and his teacher, Mrs. Arnold. Then, on Sunday Grandpa and Grandma Johnson, and the Cody Johnson clan came over for a party. Eli chose a boat cake this year. I did my best. One of these years, they are going to realize how unprofessional their cakes are.
