The Big 2!

Poor little Cus didn't have much of a celebration this year. But, what does he care? He got a new toy and the remains of the Valentine cake that Ryan got for me! That's right, he's blowing candles out on a half eaten cake, several days past his really birthday...
I just wasn't feeling well, due to the pregnancy. That's right, for those of you who don't know, I'm due in September!

Year of the Tiger

The Chinese New Year is a HUGE celebration here in AZ!
No, really Ryan and I were at an international grocery store that we like to get a few supplies at every now and then, when we saw signs for a Chinese New Year Celebration! So, a few days later we brought the boys back so that we could see the Dragon Dancers.

The Dragon went up and down each isle of the grocery store while all the spectators squished up next to the shelves!

The dragon would jump up to eat vegetables that were hanging from each isle's sign.

This was definitely more fun that celebrating Valentine's Day.
Although, Ryan did get me some flowers!

Eli Turned the Big 5!

Eli wanted to have a Batman party. I'm pretty cheap and don't like to go crazy for birthday parties. This was inexpensive and the boys had so much fun!

We played games,
(Batman Obstacle Course, Shoot the Batman Villains w/ Nerf Guns & Batman Dodgeball)
opened presents
&
ate cake with ice cream.

Glad we made it to this point...

Norah's little headstone was finally placed. I tried to match it pretty closely to my mother's and I think it turned out really nice. Mom's has a piece of petrified wood placed into the stone. Great Grandma Heap's front yard in St. John's, AZ had lots of it, so it's a nice memento. Norah's of course doesn't have that, but the stone matches well. I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Oh, Happy Day!

An almost 2 year old + a fractured foot = nothing but sponge baths for 3 weeks.

This was the most excited I've seen him in a while.

New Year's Eve

We spent the night partying with Cody, Richele, Hayley, Xander & baby Brielle who were visiting from Florida. We ate pizza, played some Rock Band, tried out the boys new 4-wheelers, and brought in the New Year together.

The next day, we had our annual Johnson lunch at Val & Gayla's house. Uncle Val throws $$$ into his pool and the kids dive in and retrieve it. This year my kids were prepared & brought their swimsuits.
