He's Back!

Buddy returned from the Toronto, Canada mission. It's was such an excited moment to watch him coming down the walkway at the airport. Ryan and I hope that our boys turn out just like their Uncle Buddy. What a great example he has and continues to be to them.

Memorial Day Trip

We have been going to CA over the Memorial Day weekend since we moved back to AZ. This particular trip was one of the best. Couldn't quite figure out why until I realized that I wasn't pregnant, nursing or holding an infant at the beach! We had so much fun visiting the temple after church on Sunday, playing in the pool, going out to dinner with our buddies and of course, the beach. The beaches we normally go to were really crowded, so we drove south and found an awesome alternative. Caleb and Eli got some surfing lessons from good ol' Uncle Josh and Nolan ate plenty of sand. Nolan wanted to surf so badly that pushed and pulled the board all the way down the beach trying to figure out how. Before heading out of town, we picked our own delicious strawberries in Carlsbad.

Annular Solar Eclipse

We got to witness the "Ring of Fire"! It was really cool to see.
Since we didn't have any special glasses, we had to make due with some super scientific materials called paper.
"An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon's apparent diameter is smaller than the Sun, causing the Sun to look like an annulus (ring), blocking most of the Sun's light. This is also known as Ring of Fire."

Ryan completed his first triathlon. It was a sprint distance held at Tempe Town Lake. Caleb and I got up early to cheer him on!

Happy 3rd Birthday Norah Juliene

This year the boys and I made mini-apple pies in your honor.
They were quite delicious, if I do say so myself.

Free Swingset!

Our neighbors were moving and told us that we could have the swing set if we wanted it. Said they didn't want to have to deal with moving it. We soon found out why. The thing was soo heavy. Ryan was a good sport, mostly, and put it together for me anyway. The boys have loved it! We put a little plastic pool at the bottom and spray the slide with the hose for fun in the sun.
