A Grueling San Diego Seminar

Ryan's work sent him to a seminar in San Diego and thanks to a babysitter and 2 sets of grandparents,
I got to go with him!
So, while Ryan was in class I took naps, exercised, read a book and lounged by the pool.
Then, we had the evenings to eat (Indian buffet), go to the beach, eat (Japanese) , snorkel, eat (Paninni), do sealings at the temple, and of course, eat (greasy Mexican).
It was awesome! (oh, and some Chinese too).

Due to my growing belly, I didn't do much except read.

I didn't mind one bit!

Did I mention that we went out to eat A LOT!

We finished off the trip with some snorkeling in LaJolla Cove.

Had to rent a wetsuit that would accommodate by 6 month pregnant tummy.

Johnson/Beals Camping Trip

Went up to "dee Reem" (as Ryan would say) near Canyon Creek to do some camping with our good friends the Beals. It's nice to get out of the desert now and then and remember that Arizona does have trees and cool mountain air. I can't believe we were wearing sweatshirts and huddled around a campfire at night! I'm melting as I write this at home in 100 + degrees!

Day Camp

Caleb was soooo excited to be invited to his first ever Scout Day Camp!

He's technically still 7 years old, but they let him slide in since his birthday is this summer.

The first day they gave all the boys an orange camp t-shirt and told them that their moms are NOT ALLOWED to wash it for the 3 day event. I'm fine with that since I didn't have to carpool the boys to or from the event! His favorite event of the camp was archery.

Caleb & Eli have been working so hard at swim team.

They are great swimmers and are really building their endurance,

gettin' tan and getting better at all 4 strokes.
They both like Butterfly and Freestyle the best.

the MBA Graduate

We made it! Ryan has earned his MBA from ASU. It's so nice to have him around more in the evenings. And, now he drives more while I just sit in the passenger seat. For the last 2 years, he's been studying while I drive. Sometimes, it's the little things!
Ryan opted not to walk at the graduation ceremony.
Said he had already spent enough time & money at ASU.
So, we had a graduation celebration at Lake Pleasant with Grandpa & Grandma Johnson instead.
Much better way to spend a Saturday!

A Memorable Memorial Day

Drove to CA for the Memorial weekend.

On Sunday we drove to Old Town San Diego to see the newly renovated

Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center.

Caleb's favorite was panning for gold.

Eli's favorite was the lookout tower binoculars.

Marcus's favorite was washing the clothes with the water pump.

He's sweet like 'Cus saying, "No picture! GO AWAY MOM!"

Hey, I actually made it into a picture! Aren't my boys handsome. We all matched and didn't even mean to!

We stopped at a Japanese restraunt for lunch.

Caleb really, really wanted to try sushi?...

and, he really, really liked it!

These kids had so much fun together.

They played on the beach, jumped on the trampoline, ate lots of cookies and played lots of soccer.

the Preschool Graduate

Eli had so much fun at Busy Kids Preschool this year. Miss Amy was a great teacher and Eli made lots of new friends. Reading has started to "click". He's excited and ready for Kindergarten in the fall.
