This was Nolan's first Heap Reunion. Again, not a great age for camping, but we managed.
Uncle Ralph brought the "slingshot" swing back to life this year. I remember doing this as a kid. The boys had a blast!

A lot of these are my kids' 3rd cousins! The tradition of running down Green's Peak is staying alive.
My boys love hanging out with Kris & Sarah's boys. This year they went squirrel hunting with their bb guns a lot and pretended to be Avatars with earth and water bending powers.

Aquabats
Isn't it funny how we look back on pictures of our kids looking cute or doing something great, and all we remember is how cute and great they are? I looked through these pictures and remembered how exciting it was when the boys got a PR, and the look on their faces when they earned medals in the finals.
In these pictures:
No one looks hot and sweaty after 2 hours in the 110 degree heat.
No one looks frustrated by trying to maneuver a stroller around a pool deck or trying to keep a 3 year by the pool and not in the pool.
Not one bystander is seen scolding my 3 year old for shooting them in the face with a squirt bottle.
I guess it's good to just let the nostalgia take over.
I just might go back on my vow to never do swim team again!
