I got to spend a night away with 2 of my favorite people. Tiffany & Casey. I've known Tiff since 7th grade and Casey since Sophomore year at Westwood. Actually, Casey & I swam together for the Kino Crawdads summer swim team when we were probably about 6 or 7 years old, and then reunited in HS.
Casey got a great deal at a hotel in Scottsdale. We did a little shopping, ate, swam, watched movies, got caught up on each other's lives, slept in half the next day, and ate some more before going home.

Beals/Johnson Annual Camping trip
This year we tried a new camping spot. Blue Ridge Reservoir. It was nice to have an established camp site with bathrooms. We've always tried to avoid camping in an established campground, but I have to say, with young kids, it was pretty nice.
This year, Ryan borrowed a canoe from a guy at work. The kids really had fun with that! We went on a nature hike, the boys tried to make their own rope swing, and before driving home on Sunday, we went to the Church of Mother Nature, as Ryan likes to say. We had a devotional where we "buried our swords".

Aquabats
Eli and Caleb swam hard this summer with the Anthem Aquabats. You would think I'd have some pictures of their races, but I guess I was too busy trying to keep Nolan out of the pool to snap any?
There's Eli in the back of his 7-8 team.
There's Caleb in the ASU shirt with his 9-10 team.
In case anyone was wondering, Caleb does in fact own other shirts, he just chooses not to
wear them. And, yes, I do wash it occasionally.
