We've been waiting a long time to try backpacking as a family. This was our first trip. 

We hiked into Badger Springs. It was a nice easy hike for our first time.

Deck the Halls

Ryan's hunt spanned a Sunday, so I drove up with the boys on Saturday afternoon. We stayed in a hotel that night and went to a little branch that meets near the canyon. We stopped by the Grand Canyon to take a look, and this is what we saw. It looked like someone had dumped fog right into the canyon! Every now and then a little would blow off the top and you could see just the tip of  the rim.

Thanksgiving

This year Ryan got drawn for Elk, so he was gone hinting for Thanksgiving. The boys and I had lunch at the Payne's with much of the Moody family. Then, we went over to the Martinsen's for even more pie!
