This year Caleb decided to wear his uniform and be a baseball player. Then, Grandma Heap gave Nolan a baseball sleeper. Which led me to convince Eli that being a baseball player would be great. By then, Marcus was begging to be a ball player too. That's how they ended up being Team Johnson for Halloween! I didn't even think about it until the next day, but I should have dressed up as a referee! It wouldn't have been a stretch!
The boys loaded up at our Ward's Trunk or Treat! The next night, they went with the Payne cousins to their Trunk or Treat! And, Caleb, just like his dad, promptly went home and sorted and categorized his candy.

The Simple Things...
Marcus has had lots of fun painting lately.
Get him a bowl of water and a paintbrush...
he'll create some masterpieces on the back porch.
The best part is No clean-up!

I love taking pictures, just not of myself.
As a result, I don't have very many pictures of me with my babies.
Thanks to my friend, Sally, for taking these in my garage.
I felt a little akward, but in another 20 years, I'll be so glad I have these!

Oh Happy Day!
Now that I'm 6 weeks postpartum...
No more Heparin shots!!!
After my pregnancy with Norah, a blood test showed that I have a tendency to have blood clots. So, my doctor recommended that I take Heparin during the pregnancy. It's essentially a blood thinner.
A shot to the belly twice a day, kept the doctor away.
My belly looked like a pincushion for the 9 months, but it was worth it.
Little Nolan is a happy, healthy boy!

How did I get so lucky?
My entire pregnancy, people would point to my stomach and say, "Tell me it's a girl!"
It was so much fun to break the news to total strangers that I was in fact having yet another boy.
Many had a tough time hiding their disappointment. I got lots of pats on the back and encouraging comments like, "Well, good for you!"
One woman replied, with a forced smile, "Well, they are beautiful boys!" As though that was my consolation for raising all boys!
In all honesty, I'm so happy to have 4 boys. I love each one so much, it's hard to even describe. And, really, they ARE beautiful... so that's a bonus.
